“Jesus/Yashya answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God/Elohim.” John 3 v 3
“Jesus/Yashya answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God/Elohim.”
“6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
“Jesus/Yashya answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things.”
This statement alludes to the fact that what the Messiah was teaching was not anything new. He expected this person to be familiar with what he was saying. This means that being born again is not a new concept.
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible. By the word of God/Elohim, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23
Peter explains it here, that is being born by the word. Literally telling us that it means to be born of the word which is an incorruptible seed.
18” Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
James 1 v 18
13 “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God/Elohim.”
John 1 v 13
The word is the seed
That same day Jesus/Yashya went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
So here Messiah was explaining the different outcomes of the word being planted in our hearts.
The kingdom message is about the reign or rulership of The Almighty through Messiah. The laws of the kingdom are now to be written in our hearts, that is why it matters that our hearts are in a condition to receive the word.
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord/Ahayah.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God/Elohim,
and they will be my people.
jeremiah 31 v 33
The condition of the heart matters
“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
Its all about what we do with the word, based on the condition of our hearts. The condition of our heart determines if the seed grows or not. The life and the power is in the seed but the resources that it needs to grow is in us.
The sacrifices of God/Elohim are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God/Elohim, you will not despise.
psalm 51 v 17
But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.
Isiaah 66 v 2
“I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Isiah 57 v 15
What is regeneration
1. formed or created again
2: spiritually reborn or converted
3: restored to a better, higher, or more worthy state
“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,”
TITUS 3 V 5
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God>lohim, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God/Elohim.” John 1 v 12-13
For whatever is born of God/Elohim overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
You, dear children, are from God/Elohim and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 john 4
Whosoever is born of God/Elohim doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God/Elohim.
10 In this the children of God/Elohim are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 john
Popular theology tells us that if we believe in Jesus/Yashya then we will be saved. This is usually referring to going to heaven instead of hell. Securing a ticket so to speak through a prayer of salvation. This is such a misrepresentation of the truth.
We are delivered as the word grows in us
The new birth is initiated by the Set apart Spirit through the word. The Messiah was the word come in the flesh so by following him or becoming his disciples we would be obeying the word. This desire to obey is how the word germinates in our hearts. But as the parable explains if our heart is not kept contrite we will choke the word and it will not grow.
That is why we are admonished to drink milk so we can grow.
like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, 1 peter 2 v 2.
Every kingdom has rules and is ruled by a King. What he says goes and must be respected by all. Without rules we have anarchy. State of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority or other controlling systems.
