Love as presented in the scriptures is the way we relate in a caring, respectful, upright manner, to others including The most high that brings about positive results that is good for and to the one being loved as well as ourselves. It is therefore primarily an adverb but it can also be used as a verb or a noun in the scriptures. Love is a skill that can be learnt, just like how one can learn how to communicate effectively
It is best experienced as acceptance, approval and belonging and inspires feelings of security, trust, confidence and self-esteem.
Love is patient, kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, is not puffed up, is not self-seeking, is not easily provoked, does not keep record of trespasses, does not condone unrighteousness but rejoices with truth, it always protects, trusts and perseveres, it never fails. 1 Cor. 13
The way The Almighty relates to us, is a good example of love.
